Explain what confidentiality means in ABA, what information it covers, and why it is a clinical, ethical, legal, and relational obligation, not only a compliance requirement

Apply the BACB RBT Ethics Code 2.0 sections that govern confidentiality and privacy, including what “minimum necessary” information sharing means in practice

Identify the specific HIPAA protections that apply to ABA services, what constitutes Protected Health Information, and what the legal consequences of unauthorized disclosure can include

Distinguish between appropriate and inappropriate client-related conversations, including the setting, purpose, audience, and content standards that determine appropriateness

Respond professionally and correctly to third-party requests for client information, including from parents, business owners, community members, and others who may have no authorization
